The Star Destroyer Walnut Coffee Table
Custom crafted Walnut Coffee Table sourced as reclaimed urban lumber through Habitat Restore of Dane County.
I honestly can’t say if I noticed the incredible figuring of the gain in this piece or how much it reminded me of the first Imperial Starship I ever saw back in ‘77 (if the Empire had a better vibe ofc).
I used maple bowties and minimal epoxy to stop and fill the cracks that are inevitably a part of the flawed beauty that define our lives and the best pieces of furniture.
Finished with Rubio Monocoat Pure; all of the work is done in our family’s woodshop just beyond the Terminal Moraine in Cross Plains, WI.
